RIP: ATM Card
By Max | September 8, 2008
Trip to Europe Tip #153:
Always take a backup ATM card to Europe. You know, in case your only cash source suddenly stops working on a Friday leaving you high and dry.
I tried calling the bank today and they said everything is fine with my card on their end, but it doesn’t work. They said my card probably get demagnetized somehow.
I am working on a plan to have a bunch of cash sent with my friend who’s meeting me in Munich. Wish me luck on that working out.

You might also stop in at a bank and see if they can receive a bank wire for you.

hmmmm… a way to earn money in a country where no one recognizes you… where anything you do would likely never see the light of day… let me get back to you on this one…

Hope this ATM card doesn’t stress you out too much. Let me know if I can help.

It was stressful, but now I am ok and I didn’t have to do anything that Mom wouldn’t want to know about.
