Spent A Month In Amsterdam Last Night

By Max | August 31, 2008

Today we are wrapping up our trip to Amsterdam. We’re leaving out on a night train to Prague this evening. We’re staying in a sleeper car instead of a hotel, and hopefully I can get some decent rest.

Yesterday, we visited the Van Gogh museum. It’s cool to see the same paintings in real life that keep popping up in books and magazines. The guy never sold a painting, went crazy and shot himself in the chest, only to die 2 days later. Now his work is among the most desired in the world. Everybody loves a good tragedy I guess. Next up was the Anne Frank house, but we didn’t go in. There was a huge line waiting and it costs $22 just to see the small closet where she wrote her diary. Oh well, maybe next time. :)

Check out some of my pictures from Amsterdam
