The Great November Experiment
By Max | November 2, 2007
This month I am setting a goal for myself. I might be a little crazy, but I like a challenge from time to time. Over the last few months I have just been hemorrhaging cash. November is the first month that I won’t be traveling since March. I am just tired of seeing $2500 credit card bills. This month my goal is to spend less than $1200!! I will of course be spending more than that because I have some business expenses each month that have to be taken care of, but those don’t count because I make money from that.
Thats not all though. I also want to earn at least $1200 from playing poker this month. I just think it will be fun if I could be considered a professional poker player for a month.
Unfortunately I don’t think I’ll be able to sustain it. $1200 just isn’t enough when you love to party as much as I do.
Yesterday I spent $500 on rent, and $12.50 on food and drinks. I am going to have to cut back a little today. On a positive note I made over $100 playing cards!!
Total Expenses: $512.50
Poker Income: $108

Good luck with that. I can’t even keep my bills below 1200 anymore. I spent 1300 in October. I’ve had some very low months, but my yearly average will probably be over 1500 per month.
