Start A Contest Blog

Today I ran across this post on another Michael’s Freelance Writing blog. Its a pretty easy contest to enter to win an $80 TV tuner. In fact I am writing this post to count as my entry into the contest.
I see these contests running from time to time on various blogs. Forums are also prone to giveaways, especially ones that are just starting up. I am thinking if you put in a little effort and tracked down 3-4 of these contests per week, and then updated a blog with the information, eventually you would have your server crashing from all the contest whore traffic. I know some people are fanatical about deals and contests. If you do a good job, your readership will increase to the point where webmasters will seek you out to have you put their contest on your blog. Thats when the cash starts rolling in. Just start charging them for something you used to do for free. Cha-ching!
This idea is so good I don’t even know why I am giving it away. If you start one of these you might be competing with me in the future. Lucky for you I am LAZY. I just hope you’ll remember who started you on the path to financial success online and give me some links.

Oh and I added it to Technorati Favorites, so thats three entries if you are counting Michael. I really want that Tuner.

The TV tuner will plug into your computer on one end and the cable jack on the other. This allows you to watch TV on your PC.

I probably will set it up to record the Playboy channel while I am at work. I am going to need a bigger hard drive.

I just started my first contest on my blog. It’s not to get traffic to my blog, but to increase links for my friend’s biz site. I’ll post a case study once its done.
