SoBe Lean Comes To A Restaurant Near You
By Max | May 22, 2007
Today at lunch I decided to stop in at Quiznos and have myself a sandwich. Surprisingly, they were offering a new fountain drink choice alongside the normal Pepsi product options, SoBe Lean Cranberry Grapefruit - just one calorie. I was pretty excited about this because the other day I saw on the news that soda’s are really bad for your teeth. I don’t know if SoBe Lean is any better but it certainly can’t be worse. The water in AZ is pretty bad, so I like drink something that has a little flavor in it. Plus drinking water all the time can get boring. After spending $2000 at the dentist already this year, I need to start taking better care of my teeth.

I don’t think diet pop has sugar in it, so it won’t rot your teeth. Your cavities might have more to do with all that fun you have (coming home to hammered to brush

The news article focused more on the acids rather than the sugar. Diet Coke was even mentioned as being 20x more corrosive than juice. I don’t know if Sobe Lean is any better than Diet Coke, but you are right, a lot of my cavities probably resulted in coming home too drunk to brush.
I bet in 20-30 years the soda companies will be under similar scrutiny as the tobacco companies. They are somewhat addictive I think.

I think dentists are out to screw people. Did your teeth actually hurt or did they just say you had problems?

They just showed me a bunch of spots on the TV. I definitely had some problems. I don’t know if I had that many. My last dentist never really fixed anything for me.

I just started at a new office and found out my hygenist is a butcher. This is the first time I can remember looking down at my bib and seeing a lot of blood. She was not gentle with the floss or with those gnarly metal picks and hooks.
To top it off, she complained about my coffee and tea stains and decide to sand blast my teeth with baking soda. I had baking sode in my ears, hair, nose, and eyes when she finished (and my face felt like I dove for a save in beach volleyball). I couldn’t feel my tongue for an hour from all that blasting and my gums felt raw.
No cavities, but the dentist tried to convince me to get braces.

I still think dentists are a bunch of scammers.

My last dentist was a total scammer. He was about 90, and was in semi-retirement. I don’t think he knew what was going on which is part of the reason I have such a large dental bill now.

How many hot hygienists are in your dental offices?
