Richer Than AMD
By Max | April 23, 2007
Since I work for intel, this story caught my attention. Since AMD came into existence in 1969, it has lost around $200 million in total. How is this possible? I would have thought that a 37 year old company would have to actually be in the black to continue functioning for so long. Its pretty funny to think that my net worth is greater than a huge company’s. Some might wonder how Wall Street is off by so much in their valuation of this company. At today’s share price, AMD is weighing in at $7.8 billion. If AMD is worth that much after racking up $200 million in losses, I must be worth around $8 billion. Maybe I should shoot for an IPO soon. If you are interested in purchasing a share of me, send $20 to my paypal account.

Amen brother. I’d like to be the first to purchase shares in the Tower IPO. If you only loose a few million your stock will double.

Yes. Just yesterday AMD announced they were going to issue a $1.8 billion bond offering. I wonder if I had just lost $200 million over the last 37 years would anyone lend me $1.8 billion? Heck I’d settle for just $1 billion.
