High School Reunion
By Max | March 29, 2007
Today I got a letter in the mail notifying me of my upcoming high school class reunion. AWESOME! I wonder how all those guys are doing? I haven’t talked to many people from high school since I left home 10 years ago. I think every year I reconnect with fewer and fewer friends from Clover. This is really too bad. I have actually tried googling a few people I knew back then, but so far I haven’t had any luck tracking anyone down.
Now if you type “Max Tower” into google, my website here comes up as the number one result. I don’t see why my old classmates can’t extend me the same courtesy. Probably some jerk squatter is sitting on their name as a domain. That reminds me, I should probably rush out and register maxwelltower.com too before I become a minor celebrity. ARRGH! Squatters really piss me off. I bet they make good money though.
There are disadvantages to having google return your webpage as a top search result. After my first date with my girlfriend Diana she did a little stalking and found my website. I guess I didn’t have anything too offensive on there because she looked at everything and still let me take her out again. After I found out she stalked me, I did a little stalking of my own, but her name didn’t return very much fun stuff. These days you just can’t expect everyone to post embarrassing videos of themselves on their own internet web pages. Hmmm. What would I have done, if she had popped up as an internet porn star when I did a search? What would she have done if I turned out to be a child molester? Maybe I shouldn’t be writing a blog after all. Google is going to know all my secrets.
